Frequently Asked Questions
How do formatting and conversion differ?
Formatting changes JSON indentation and whitespace. Conversion changes its representation to CSV, XML or YAML, or converts those formats back to JSON.
Which conversion directions are supported?
All six directions between JSON and CSV, XML or YAML are supported. Select a format and direction, then insert an example or paste data.
How can I import JSON into a spreadsheet?
Choose JSON → CSV, enter an object or object array and download CSV for import into Excel or another spreadsheet. Nested values become JSON text in cells; this does not generate .xlsx files.
Why does JSON parsing fail?
Check double quotes, brackets, commas and escapes. JSON does not allow comments, trailing commas or single quotes. The selected input format must also match your data.
